Luis Vergara

Meet Luis,
one of our Partners.
Luis Vergara (he/him/el) approaches his practice having been heavily influenced by his professional journey related to social justice, diversity, equity, and his personal experience of being raised in an immigrant household by a single parent. Luis has worked with all types of organizations during his consulting career, but is particularly interested in working with organizations that have a specific interest in better serving the community and the world through more equitable offerings and lifting marginalized voices.
Luis has a background in both marketing and nonprofit management, giving him a unique perspective and set of skills to share with clients. Prior to joining La Piana in 2006, Luis was a Strategic Director at national research and strategy firm Cheskin. He also served as Executive Director of Youth Radio and as Senior Policy Associate with Safe Passages.
 Impact Approach | Luis wants clients to not only envision the change they want to make in the world, but also to be engaged in a meaningful consulting relationship with La Piana that impacts their external and internal constituents. He believes that this approach will help clients to achieve their goals and make a positive impact on the community and the world. |

As a Bay Area native, Luis has a strong connection to his local sports teams and can often be found watching or checking the scores. He values family time and enjoys traveling to beach destinations, international locations, and exploring new local restaurants. He enjoys having a balance of work and personal life and these activities bring him joy and relaxation. | |
