Onuka brings a thoughtful blend of nonprofit and business perspective to helping social sector organizations achieve their goals. An experienced team leader, he works collaboratively with diverse groups to develop strategy, identify practical paths forward, and cultivate a culture that supports success. Onuka has worked extensively with organizations in the field of education to design and sustain successful programs, ensure effective operations, and sustain effective governance. He is a Pahara Institute NextGen Fellow.
Prior to joining La Piana Consulting, Onuka was VP of program at College Summit, where he held a variety of program and operational roles. He also has background as an analyst and educator. Onuka is a past board president and current board member and foundation trustee for Delta Sigma Pi, an international professional business fraternity for men and women. Onuka has an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and an undergraduate degree in business administration and Spanish from Truman State University.
