Aging Services of California's 2008 Annual Conference in San Diego
Luis Vergara, Senior Associate, led a session on Strategic Restructuring and Diversity: The Changing Faces of Organizational Leadership at Aging Services of California’s 2008 Annual Conference: The New Shade of Gray. The presentation was held on May 7th.

Northern California Grantmakers in San Francisco
Vance Yoshida, Senior Associate, led a session on Strategic Restructuring for the Emergency Loan Fund Committee at Northern California Grantmakers in San Francisco on May 1st.

Easter Seals Regional Meeting in Las Vegas
David La Piana gave a presentation at the Easter Seals Regional Meeting on the topic of growing the organization and facilitated group discussions on individual affiliates’ efforts related to growth.  The presentation was hosted by Easter Seals Southern Nevada and it was held on March 24. 

Fieldstone Alliance in Minneapolis, Minnesota
David La Piana led an in-service training on The Nonprofit Strategy Revolution for the Fieldstone Alliance’s staff and guests, followed by a Strategic Restructuring presentation open to its staff and the local nonprofit community. 

Nonprofit Alliance Training in Battle Creek/Calhoun County, Michigan
David La Piana presented a customized one-day training program, titled Strategy Formation - Join the Nonprofit Strategy Revolution, sponsored by Fieldstone Alliance on behalf of Nonprofit Alliance. This program aimed at assisting nonprofits in Battle Creek/Calhoun County, Michigan, to learn about new ways of forming and implementing strategy.

Bill Coy, Senior Manager, presented Moving Teams from Dysfunctional to Functional for the Northern California Human Resources Association on March 11.

David La Piana, President and Vance Yoshida, Senior Associate presented Beyond Strategic Planning -- Helping Grantees Make Good Strategic Decisions at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations' 2008 National Conference and 10th Anniversary Celebration.

The Kaua`i Planning & Action Alliance, Hawaii
David La Piana, President of La Piana Associates, Inc., participated in a conference entitled “Building Capacity for Kauai Nonprofits” hosted by the Kaua`i Planning & Action Alliance on March 4. David co-presented a plenary session with Jan Masaoka on The Importance of Building Capacity in the Nonprofit Sector and then facilitated a follow-up break-out session for executive directors.
