La Piana Consulting organized and led the merger negotiations process with Rainforest Alliance and UTZ, guiding negotiations toward a successful merger agreement, then helping with merger implementation planning and facilitating the kickoff of a merged board of directors comprised of members representing the organization’s global reach.
Outcome & Results
The two organizations successfully merged, and are known as Rainforest Alliance. They are stronger than ever in both mission fulfilment around their work in climate change, human rights, farmer livelihoods, and biodiversity, and their own sustainability.
