Meet Rylan,
one of our Associate Consultants.
Rylan Kepner (they/them) enjoys helping nonprofit organizations become more effective in achieving their missions. They are particularly passionate about peer learning and community-driven solutions. Through their previous roles in fundraising and philanthropy, Rylan has worked with numerous organizations to support their growth and help them pursue a more equitable and community-centric future. Rylan is particularly passionate about working with organizations that are experiencing growth or facing new challenges with a special interest in working with the philanthropic and LGBTQIA+ communities
Previously, Rylan worked as a grant writer for consulting agency Elevate, where they developed funding proposals and reports and conducted funder prospect research for nonprofits. Rylan was also a Specialist of Leadership and Member Engagement with the Endocrine Society, where they advanced the association’s member-driven activities and governance activities. They also served as a Program Assistant for Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO), where they created, operationalized, and supported GEO conferences and publishing, providing smarter grantmaking content to support the funder community. Rylan also served as a Program Assistant for Vitalyst Health Foundation, where they operationalized and coordinated multiple projects for the health conversion foundation, including grantmaking, events and programs.
