New Resource for Nonprofits and Consultants
We’re delighted to welcome a new resource on the practice of nonprofit consulting and its role in advancing social impact.
ImpactRising.org highlights informative articles and opportunities for dialogue with the aim of raising the bar for quality consulting and empowering nonprofits as wise consumers of consulting services. Launched with funding from The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, and spearheaded by social sector capacity builder Shiree Teng, ImpactRising.org elevates the nonprofit/consultant working relationship as a catalyst for change.
A unique feature at ImpactRising.org is the proposed Bill of Rights and Responsibilities for Effective Nonprofit Consulting Engagements, a living document and tool that outlines seven mutual commitments geared toward ensuring an effective partnership and successful consulting engagement. The site also houses an array of additional resources for nonprofits considering engaging a consultant and for consultants committed to working to the highest standards of quality.
